Robert F. Ernest

 

LYNDHURST-Robert F. Ernest, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27. He was 78 years old. Mr. Ernest was born in Glendale, N.Y. and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for over 30 years.

He was a system analyst for The Board of Education of Newark for 10 years and a computer analyst for Channel Home Center in Wayne for 10 years before retiring in 1990. He was a bowling coach for St. Peter’s College in Jersey City for many years.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Hoa (nee Le) Ernest and by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

On Dec. 29, relatives and friends attended the visiting from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. in Lyndhurst. The visiting was followed by a private cremation.

Roseanna A. Kutz

 

LYNDHURST-Roseanna A. Kutz, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30. She was 71 years old. Mrs. Kutz was born in Lyndhurst and was a lifelong resident.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kutz is predeceased by son Bruce Eulo. She is survived by husband Robert Kutz of Lyndhurst, daughter June Eulo, daughter-in-law Ginny Eulo, step-children Robert and Stewart Kutz and Cookie Cupparo. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, siblings Joseph Violante and his wife Rose, James Violante and his wife Helen and Marie Estelle Brown and her husband, Frank.

On Jan. 3, relatives and friends attended the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. then to the funeral mass from Sacred Heart Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by a private cremation.

Martin P. Tecza

 

Martin Peter Tecza, of Wallington, passed away on Dec. 31. He was 68 years old. Mr. Tecza was born in Passaic, lived and Wood-Ridge and lived in Wallington for the past five years.

He was a truck driver for Oostdyk, Inc. in Elmwood Park for 38 years.

Mr. Tecza is survived by brother Michael G. Tecza and his wife, Joy, of Gillette, sister Lois Bruno of California, nephew Michael, niece Courtney and several other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by friend Lorraine Flynn of East Rutherford.

Arrangements were made by the Kimak Funeral home in Carlstadt. The cremation was private.

Carmela A. Trotter

 

EAST RUTHERFORD-Carmela A. "Mela" Trotter (nee Farina), of East Rutherford, passed away on Dec. 28. She was 90 years old. Mrs. Trotter was born in Hoboken and lived in East Rutherford since 1934.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in East Rutherford and a former member of the choir. She was a seamstress in Lyndhurst for 50 years andw as a member of the I.L.G.W.U. Prior, she was a foreman at the East Rutherford Syringe Shop.

Mrs. Trotter is predeceased by brothers Anthony Farina and James Farina and sisters Nettie DeRosa and Mary Biasucci. She is survived by husband Frank. J. Trotter, sons William J. Trotter of Carlstadt and Gary J. Trotter and his wife, Diane, of Ramsey, granddaughter Emily Rose and great-grandson Luciano. She is also survived by brother Joseph Farina of Marlton and sisters Carrie Tortora of East Rutherford, Tina Sottilaro of East Rutherford, Anna Cocozzo of East Rutherford, Betty Farina of East Rutherford and Eleanor Germaine of Connecticut.

On Jan. 2, relatives and friends attneded the funeral from the Kimak Funeral Home in Carlstadt and then the funeral mass from St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in EastRutherford. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Marie Winand

 

EAST RUTHERFORD-Marie Winand (nee Gorrell), of East Rutherford, passed away on Friday, Dec. 28. She was 76 years old. Mrs. Winand was a resident of East Rutherford for over 50 years.

She was the violations clerk for the Borough of East Rutherford for 10 years. Shew as a member if the Carlstadt First Presbyterian Church and the East Rutherford Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Winand is predeceased by husband Jack W. Winand and siblings Catherine Dashko, Andrew Gorrell and John Gorrell. She is survived by children Jacqueline Della Valle of Wayne, Susan Mercoun of Carlstadt, Sidney Winand of East Rutherford, Jim Winand of Carlstadt, Ted Winand of West Paterson and David Winand of East Rutherford and grandchildren Jason, Jocelyn, Jolie, Carley, Emily, Nicholas, Teddy, Michael, Taylor, James, Megen, Matteo, Alessandro, Amanda and Alicia. She is also survived by siblings Louis Gorrell of West Paterson, Sam Gorrell of Newfield, Larry Gorrell of Connecticut, Frank Gorrell of Franklin and Harry Gorrell of Arizona.

On Jan. 4, relatives and friends attended the funeral service from the Kimak Funeral Home in Carlstadt. The service was followed by interment in Crest Haven Memorial Park in Clifton.

Ida Natiello

 

CARLSTADT-Ida Natiello (nee Aria), of Carlstadt, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1. She was 92 years old. Mrs. Natiello was born and raised in Lyndhurst and has been a resident of Carlstadt since 1976.

She worked as a Seamstress for many years, retiring in 1976.

Mrs. Natiello is predeceased by husband Lewis F. Natiello and sisters Viola Nardone and Ann Sesta. She is survived by children Lewis F. Natiello, Ida Randle, Robert Natiello, and Dale Natiello. She is also survived by siblings Mary Timmonello, Helen Bator, Morris Aria, Camillo Aria and Lillian Portington, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

On Jan. 5, relatives and friends attended the funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home Inc., then the funeral mass from Sacred Heart Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington.

Harold H. Doerner

 

RUTHERFORD-Harold H. Doerner, of Rutherford, passed away on Wednesday, Jan 2. He was 100 years old. Mr. Doerner was born in New York, N.Y.

He was a manager for Kraft Foods, Inc.

Mr. Doerner is predeceased by his wife Marguerite. He is survived by daughter Nancy and son Alan and his wife, Connie. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

On Jan. 5, relatives and friends attended a funeral service from Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home in Rutherford. The service was followed by interment in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

Richard Ulrich

 

NORTH ARLINGTON - Richard Ulrich, of North Arlington, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4. He was 68 years of age. He was born in Newark.

Mr. Ulrich worked as a machinist for Westinghouse for over 30 years and then with the Airtron Company in Morristown before retiring in 1999. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1962.

He was predeceased by his wife Joan and is survived by his children Scott, Brad and Todd and his grandchildren Paul and Justin.

Friends and relatives attended a funeral service on Jan. 7 at the Parow Funeral Home in North Arlington, followed by entombment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.

Marion Rekuc

 

Marion Rekuc (nee Rembiszewski), of Asbury, formerly of Lyndhurst, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30. She was 92 years of age.

Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Rekuc lived in Lyndhurst from 1952 to 1992 and in Pattenberg before moving to Asbury in 2002.

She worked as a ticker for the Sears Corporation in Secaucus for 20 years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Michael’s Church.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph. She is survived by her sons Raymond and Richard, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was held on Jan. 2 at St. Michaels Church in Lyndhurst following the funeral from the Parow Funeral Home in North Arlington. She was entombed in Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
