Anthony Gentile
LYNDHURST- Anthony Gentile, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Saturday Nov. 24. He was 65 years old. He was born in Jersey City, lived 33 years in Lyndhurst, 13 years in North Arlington, and the past two years in Lyndhurst.
He worked in shipping and receiving for Inserra Shop Rite in several locations for eight years and Silver Streak Trucking for four years and more recently as a maintenance man for RCA Insurance Group, Clifton for the past six years.
Mr. Gentile is survived by wife Bonnie (nee Schoenack) of Lyndhurst and daughter Christina Andrinopoulos and her husband, Chris, of Lyndhurst. He is also survived by granddaughter Natalie Andrinopoulos and sisters Louise Gentile of Bloomfield, Linda Sottilare of Pa., and Lorraine Aszman of Mich.
Relatives and friends attended the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., then to the funeral mass at Mount Carmel Church, both in Lyndhurst on Nov. 28. Services were followed by interment Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Stanley S. Czarnecki
Stanley S. Czarnecki, of Aiken, S.C., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21. He was 94 years old. He was born in Jersey City and had lived in Lyndhurst since 1953, spending the past few years with his daughter in Aiken, S.C.
Mr. Czarnecki served in the United States Army as a captain during WWII where he saw combat in Italy and North Africa and received the American Defense Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, the EAME Theater Ribbon with four Bronze Service Stars, and the WWII Victory Medal. He worked as an industrial engineer for the American Can Company of Jersey City for 40 years, retiring in 1970. He was an avid golfer participating in the sport until age 88.
Mr. Czarnecki is predeceased by his wife, Blanche (nee Bobrik), his brother, John, his sister, Mary Pylka and his parents, Catherine (Tysz) and Michael Czarnecki. He is survived by his daughter Louise Motyka and her husband, Ted, of South Carolina and his grandchildren, Matthew and Michelle Motyka. He is also survived by a niece, several nephews and cousins.
On Nov. 30, relatives and friends attended the funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home and then the funeral mass at St. Michael’s Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Marion R. Villante
LYNDHURST-Marion R. Villante(nee Mancuso), of Lyndhurst, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27. She was 93 years old. She was born in Jersey City.
Mrs. Villante was a homemaker.
She is predeceased by her husband, Frank Villante and her sister, Rose Palmieri-Mina. She is survived by her children, Linda Dries, Frank Giordano, Frank Villante, Grace Justus and Camille Briody. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchilren.
Relatives and friend were received on Nov. 29 at the Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home in Rutherford. A funeral mass was held on Nov. 30 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Lyndhurst. The service was followed by interment at the Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington.
LaVancha Marvin
CARLSTADT-LaVancha "Pat" Marvin, of Carlstadt, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 22. She was 94 years old. She was born in Washington D. C.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Curtis Wright in Lodi. She was also a member of the Carlstadt Senior Friendship Club.
She is survived by friends Rose Stoltz and Elli Bodo.
Friends were received on Nov. 26 at the Kimak Funeral Home in Carlstadt. A private cremation was held afterwards.
Emily C. Peters
RUTHERFORD-Emily C. Peters (nee Rapisardi), of Rutherford, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 24. She was 83 years old. Mrs. Peters was born and raised in Lyndhurst and has been a resident of Rutherford for several years.
She worked as a manager for The Mandee’s Shop, Rutherford for 28 years.
Mrs. Peters is predeceased by her husband, the late Kenneth C. Peters. She is survived by her uncle, Edward De Andrea of Paramus, her cousin Ann Reuter of Brick Township, and many other friends.
A memorial mass was held on Nov. 30 in St. Mary’s Church in Rutherford. Arrangements were made by Nazare Memorial Home in Lyndhurst.
