Olga M. Kielbicki

Olga M. Kielbicki (nee Zrol) passed away Oct. 5, 2007 in her home in Denville. She was 89 years of age. Mrs. Kielbicki was born in Poland and lived in Jersey City and North Arlington before moving to Denville in 1991.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank Kielbicki. Mrs. Kielbicki is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Eugenia M. and Saul Cohen of Denville and grandson Michael Cohen.

A funeral service was held at Parow Funeral Home in North Arlington on Oct. 10. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

 

Rachel M. Vitale

Rachel M. "Rae" Vitale (nee Rainone) passed away Oct. 7, 2007 in the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. She was 90 years of age. Born in Carteret, she resided there born moving to Kearny over 50 years ago.

Mrs. Vitale was co-owner with her husband of Starlite Coffee Shop, Restaurant and Caterers in Kearny for over 25 years before retiring in 1977.

She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Rainone and sister Anna De Jesso. She is survived by her sisters Jeanette Li Puma, Julia Rainone, Mary Fernicola and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral was held at Parow Funeral Home in North Arlington on Oct. 11, followed by a Mass in St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny. Entombment was in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington.

 

Christopher Joseph Hediger

Christopher Joseph Hediger of Oak Ridge passed away Oct. 9, 2007. He was 15 years of age. He was born in Westwood.

Christopher was a tenth grade student and a passionate photographer and videographer.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Lester P. Stagg, Josephine Hediger (nee Morreale) and Adolf A. Hediger. Christopher is survived by his mother Gail Hediger (nee Stagg) of Oak Ridge, father Glenn J. Hediger of Herndon, VA, sister Samantha Hediger of Oak Ridge and grandmother Sophie F. Stagg (nee Caltagirone).

Family and friends were received Thursday and Friday, Oct. Oct. 11 and 12 at Kimak Funeral Home in Carlstadt. A funeral service was held Oct. 13, followed by a Mass in St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in East Rutherford. Interment was in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.

Nora J. Cerullo

north arlington — Nora J. Cerullo of North Arlington passed away Oct. 10, 2007 in Hospice of New Jersey in Wayne. She was 94 years of age. Ms. Cerullo was born in Newark and was a resident of North Arlington since 1954.

She was employed as a technician for Western Electric in Kearny for over 30 years before retiring.

Ms. Cerullo was predeceased by her sisters Mary Notte, Anna Bortone, Elizabeth Sagato, Elsie Razziano, Constance Cerullo and brothers John and Ernest Cerullo. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral was held at Parow Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 13, followed by a Mass in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington. Interment was held in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

 

 

Isabelle B. Smith

Rutherford — Isabelle B. Smith of Venice, FL passed away Sept. 26, 2007. She was 83 years of age. Mrs. Smith was born in The Bronx and lived in Rutherford for 39 years before moving to Venice in 1989.

She worked as a corporate secretary for Food Concepts Inc. in Rutherford for 18 years before retiring in 1987. Subsequently, she worked as secretary of the Home Owners Association in Venice, FL for five years.

She was President of the Bergen County Chapter of Professional Secretaries International, director of the board of the Country Club Estates Civic Association in Venice, a member of the Venice Presbyterian Church and a member of the Red Hat Society – Venice DeMilo Chapter.

Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Raymond. She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Culin of Clifton and Lynne Smith of Alpharetta, GA.

A memorial service was held on Sept. 28 at the CCE Clubhouse in Venice, FL. Another memorial service will be held Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on Park Avenue in Rutherford. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in The Bronx.

Acacia E. Goncalves

Lyndhurst — Acacia E. Goncalves of Lyndhurst passed away Oct. 11, 2007. She was 87 years of age. Mrs. Goncalves was born in Portugal and moved to Jersey City 40 years ago and lived in Lyndhurst for the past 11 years.

Mrs. Goncalves was predeceased by her husband Fernando Capela, and her daughter Maria Candelaria. She is survived by her daughters Maria Emilia and Maria DePina and husband Antonio; grandchildren Clara and Fernando DePina, Fernando, Joe and Filomina Martins and four great-grandchildren.

Friends and family were received Sunday, Oct. 14. A funeral was held Oct. 15 at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home in Lyndhurst followed by interment in Bayview/New York Bay Cemetery in Jersey City.
