The Rutherford Recreation track & field team is pleased to announce that over 25 of its athletes qualified to participate in the state finals held on June 7 and June 8 in Woodbridge.

Those who qualified include Sarah Hughes (long jump, 100m and 400m), Seong Joo Cho (1500m racewalk), Leona Toole and Carisa Fortoul (shot put), Alyssa Frank, Sora Lee and Paulina Garczarek (4x100m relay), Justin Frank and Krisanne Caffrey (high jump), Summer Regan (high jump and turbo javelin), Kaitlyn Knight (javelin), Emma Knight and Diana Sciancalepore (3000m racewalk), Seong Woo Cho (1500m run), Rebecca Arnold (400m and high jump), Alec Reimon, Juliana Carton and Killian Finn (long jump), Robert Barbaro, Frank Barbaro, John Luzzi and Patrick McDonough (shot put), Anthony Ippolito (long jump and shot put), Samanta Rizzo (shot put and turbo javelin) and Paul Moh (100m and long jump).

The top four in each of the above categories will advance to the USATF Region 2 Junior Olympics, which are being held in Pittsburgh, PA at Carnegie Mellon University from July 3-6.
