Euthene C. Philpot
CARLSTADT-Euthene C. Philpot (nee Young) of Carlstadt passed away March 4. She was 83 years old. Mrs. Philpot was a lifelong resident of Carlstadt.
She was an auto processor for Sears Roebuck in Maywood for 10 years and retired in 1987. She was a member of the Carlstadt Baptist Church and the Carlstadt Seniors.
Mrs. Philpot is predeceased by husband William V. Philpot, Sr. and siblings Wesley Young and Althea Jochem. She is survived by children Lucille Leggio and her husband, Bob of Carlstadt, Katherine Sangirardi and her husband Vito of Park Ridge and William V. Philpot, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by grandchildren Lucille Antoniotti, Robert Leggio, Jr., Suzanne Dinse, Shannon Guinard, Joseph Sangirardi, great-grandchildren Brittany, Billy, Marcella, Chelsea and Mattie and brothers Herbert Young of West New York and Paul Young of Texas.
On March 8, relatives and friends attended the funeral from Kimak Funeral Home and then the funeral mass at Cornerstone Church, both in Carlstadt. The services were followed by interment in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

Herman C. Dechert
EAST RUTHERFORD-Herman C. Dechert of East Rutherford passed away March 8. He was 93 years old. Mr. Dechert was born in Carlstadt and lived in East Rutherford for 60 years.
He was a truck driver for Red Star Express Lines in North Bergen for over 30 years and retired 28 years go. He was a member of the Local 560 Teamsters and a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church.
Mr. Dechert is predeceased by wife Florence M. Dechert and brothers Otto Dechert and Kurt Dechert. He is survived by sons Donald Dechert of East Rutherford and Bruce Dechert of Washington. He is also survived by grandchildren Janine, Mark and James, four great-grandchildren and sister Elsa Parrish.
On March 12, relatives and friends attended the funeral from Kimak Funeral Home in Carlstadt and then the funeral mass from St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in East Rutherford. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Onofrio P. Carucci
LYNDHURST-Onofrio P. "Pat" Carucci of Lyndhurst passed away Sunday, March 9. He was 78 years old. Mr. Carucci was born and raised in Lyndhurst and was a lifelong resident.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1947 until 1950. He was the owner of Royal Kitchen Cabinets, Inc. of Lyndhurst for over 25 years before retiring in 1985.
Mr. Carucci is predeceased by brother Gerard Carucci. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann M. (nee DiLascio) of Lyndhurst, children Kathleen Topolewski and Glenn Carucci, both of Lyndhurst, grandchildren Ann Eckley of Lyndhurst, Jason Topolewski of Cedar Grove, Patrick Carucci of Lodi and David and Scott Carucci of Carlstadt. He is also survived by siblings Agnes Constantino, John Carucci, Theresa Geramita and Rose Robinson.
On March 13, relatives and friends attended the funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. then the funeral mass from Sacred Heart R.C. Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington.

Anthony J. DiMaulo
RUTHERFORD-Anthony J. DiMaulo of Rutherford passed away Sunday, March 9. He was 69 years old. Mr. DiMaulo was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident of Rutherford.
He was a commercial real estate property manager for Cushman & Waskefuled, located in New York City, for 37 years upon his retirement in 2007. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Korea. He was also a member of the Building Owner & Mangers Association (BOMA) and the National Association of Power Engineers (NAPE).
Mr. DiMaulo is survived by daughters Mary Jude McKnight and Toni DiMaulo, son Anthony and grandchildren Mark, Anthony, Gina and Alexander. He is also survived by siblings Carmela, Dominick and Michael.
On March 12, relatives and friends attended the funeral mass from St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Rutherford. The service was followed by interment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. Arrangements were made by Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home in Rutherford.

Ronald Italiano
Ronald Italiano of Clifton passed away March 4. He was 67 years old. Mr. Italiano was born in Passaic and lived in East Rutherford before moving to Clifton.
He grew up in East Rutherford during the 1950s when he discovered his love of the music played by DJs Dr. Jive and Alan Freed, authentic black R&B. He became the owner of Clifton Records, located at 1135 Main Ave. in Clifton, in 1972. He was a DJ on WHBI in Newark and WNYE in New York City for 23 years, where he spread his love of R&B music played by the originals. In 1976, Mr. Italiano founded United in Group Harmony Association (UGHA) which had its first meeting show at the American Legion Hall in East Rutherford. Through the UGHA, he promoted many humanitarian efforts to help R&B performers who were struggling. For all of these reasons, he was considered a 1950s Doo-Wop Icon.
Mr. Italiano is predeceased by brother Anthony. He is survived by wife Sandra and children Ronald Jr., Doreen DeMartino and Tammi Porzl. He is also survived by brother Richard, sister Elaine Kling and grandchildren Marissa, Jami, Kylie, Arianna, Aaron, Jason and Justin.
On March 8, relatives and friends attended the funeral from the Macagna Diffily Funeral Home in Rutherford and then the funeral mass from St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in East Rutherford. The services were followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lyndhurst.

Dolores M. Steimel
Dolores M. Steimel (nee Ashton) of Cape Coral, FL, passed away Tuesday, March 4. She was 74 years old. Mrs. Steimel was born in Manhattan and lived in Little Ferry.
She was a member of St. Margaret’s R.C. Church in Little Ferry.
Mrs. Steimel is predeceased by brothers Edward Ashton, Francis Ashton and James (Sookey) Ashton. She is survived by husband Lawrence Steimel and daughters Cathy Nelson and her husband Steven, Karen Jensen and her husband Richard and Denise Parker. She is also survived by sisters Mildred (Dolly) Delaney and Barbara Dawes, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On March 7, relatives and friends attended the funeral mass from St. Margaret’s R.C. Church in Little Ferry. The service was followed by interment in Garden of Memories, Washington Township. Arrangements were made by Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home in Rutherford.
Giulio Dininno
LYNDHURST-Giulio Dininno of Lyndhurst passed away Monday, March 10. He was 84 years old. Mr. Dininno was born in Italy, came to the US in 1972, lived in Union City and had been a resident of Lyndhurst for the past seven years.
He was a laborer who worked for Local # 325 of Jersey City for many years, retiring in 1986.
Mr. Dininno is survived by wife Maria (nee Moramarco) of Lyndhurst, children Michael Dininno of Cedar Grove, Lucia Picerno of Italy, Anna Paradiso of Hasbrouck Heights and Graziantonio Dininno and Giuseppina Quattromini, both of Lyndhurst. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
On March 14, relatives and friends attended the funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., then the funeral mass from Sacred Heart R.C. Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
Josephine Palumbo
LYNDHURST-Josephine Palumbo (nee Petrillo) of Lyndhurst passed away Friday, March 14. She was 91 years old. Mrs. Palumbo was born in Bronx, NY and has lived in Lyndhurst for over 80 years.
As a young girl, she worked for Murray’s Grocery in Lyndhurst. After she married she was a homemaker and assisted her husband with S.J. Palumbo Electric of Lyndhurst.
Mrs. Palumbo is predeceased by husband Samuel Palumbo and sisters Jeanette Cavallaro, Theresa Yasko, Mary Picone and Helen Marino. She is survived by daughters Marie Sciancalepore and her husband Michael of Lyndhurst and Angela Blair and her husband Kevin, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Joseph and Anthony Petrillo, Mildred Di Pisa and Ann Servideo.
On March 17, relatives and friends attended the funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. then to the funeral mass from Sacred Heart Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery, also in Lyndhurst.
