Christine Manisera

LYNDHURST-Christine Manisera of Lyndhurst passed away Friday, Feb. 29. She was 86 years old. Miss Manisera was born, raised and a life long resident of Lyndhurst.

She worked as a secretary for the Lyndhurst Board of Education from 1938 through 1986 when she retired.

Miss Manisera is predeceased by brothers Conrad and Victor Manisera. She is survived by sister Mildred Capaccio of Clifton, many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and -nephews.

On March 4, relatives and friends attended the funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., then the funeral mass from Sacred Heart Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Joseph Nicholas Schnur

LYNDHURST-Joseph Nicholas Schnur of Lyndhurst passed away Friday, Feb. 29. He was 64 years old. Mr. Schnur was born and raised in Jersey City and lived in Lyndhurst since 1980.

He worked as a security officer for Valley Hospital Building in Paramus.

Mr. Schnur is predeceased by wife Arlene Francis Schnur (nee Ripkey). He is survived by son Joseph N. Schnur, Jr. and his wife, Maria of Lyndhurst and grandchildren Garbriela and Matthew Schnur. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Schnur and his wife, Marcella and niece and nephew, Ann Marie Perry and Richard Schnur.

On March 5, relatives and friends attended the funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., then to the funeral mass from Sacred Heart Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Albert Zila

EAST RUTHERFORD-Albert "Woody" Zila of East Rutherford passed away Feb. 29. He was 86 years old. Mr. Zila was born in East Rutherford and was a life long resident.

He was an Army WWII Veteran. For 10 years, he was a machinist for Premo Pharmaceutical in Passaic.

Mr. Zila is predeceased by siblings Charles, Ollie, Carmela, Alice and Lola. He is survived by wife Rose M. (nee Farina) Zila and daughters Deborah Masch of Carlstadt and Susan B. Donahue and her husband David of Colonia. He is also survived by grandchildren Heather, Daniel, David and Alec and siblings Henry Zila of Rutherford, Alfred Zila of Moonachie and Esther Howel of Carlstadt.

On March 4, relatives and friends attended the funeral from Kimak Funeral Home in Carlstadt. The service was followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Ida Danca

NORTH ARLINGTON-Ida Danca(nee Scarrillo) of North Arlington passed away Tuesday, March 4. She was 91 years old. Mrs. Danca was born in Newark and lived in North Arlington since 1954.

She worked as a cashier for the Two Guys Department Store in Kearny for 20 years before retiring.

Mrs. Danca is predeceased by husband John. She is survived by children John and Nancy.

On March 6, relatives and friends attended the funeral from Parow Funeral Home and then the funeral mass from Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, both in North Arlington. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, also in North Arlington.

Henry Iannuzzi

LYNDHURST-Henry Iannuzzi of Lyndhurst passed away Wednesday, March 5. He was 76 years old. Mr. Iannuzzi was born in Hillside, lived in Paterson for 40 years and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for 14 years.

He worked as an electronic technician for Singer Kerfott Company in West Paterson for 40 years, retiring in 1993.

Mr. Iannuzzi is predeceased by wife Gloria (nee Iezzi) and son Dennis Iannuzzi. He is survived by son Henry Iannuzzi of Paterson. He is also survived by sister Evelyn Iannuzzi and two grandchildren Joshua and Megan Iannuzzi.

On March 8, relatives and friends attended the funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. then the funeral mass from Sacred Heart Church, both in Lyndhurst. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Dominic Intromasso

Dominic Intromasso of Pequannock passed away Wednesday, March 5. He was 87 years old. Mr. Intromasso was born in Jersey City and lived in North Arlington for 20 years before moving to Pequannock seven years ago.

He worked as a warehouseman and past union president for Boyle & Midway Co. (formerly American Home Products) in Cranford for 42 years before retiring 20 years ago. He also served in the United States Army during World War II.

Mr. Intromasso is predeceased by sister Josie Marrone. He is survived by wife Fanny (nee Fiorentino) and children Rosemary Rifflard and Dominic Intromasso Jr. He is also survived by granddaughter Jaclyn Rifflard, step-grandson Sean Koehler, great-grandchildren Joshua and Delaney Koehler and siblings Joseph, Frank and Anthony Intromasso.

On March 10, relatives and friends attended the funeral from Parow Funeral Home and the funeral mass from Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, both in North Arlington. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, also in North Arlington.

John J. Farrell

RUTHERFORD-John J. Farrell of Rutherford passed away on Friday, March 7. He was 83 years old. Mr. Farrell was born in Manhattan.

He was an electrician employed by Metropolitan Life located in New York, NY. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church.

Mr. Farrell is predeceased by wife Mary Farrell (nee O’Neill), sisters Mae Collins and Beatrice Lichte and brothers James, Kevin (Michael) and Peter. He is survived by wife Brigid Farrell (nee Brannigan), sister Helen D’Arcy ad sons Thomas Farrell and his wife Maureen, John Farrell, Jr. and his wife Geraldine and James Farrell and his wife Rosemary. He is also survived by grandchildren Sean, Daniel and Mary.

On March 9, relatives and friends attended the funeral mass from St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Rutherford. The service was followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Arrangements were made by Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home of Rutherford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the John J. Farrell Fund for Special Children c/o Chase Bank, Park Avenue, Rutherford NJ 07070.

Charles W. Daiker

Charles "Chuck" W. Daiker of State College, PA passed away Wednesday, March 5. He was 84 years old. Mr. Daiker was born Brooklyn, N.Y. and graduated from Rutherford High School.

Mr. Daiker graduated from Penn State in 1948 with a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Economics. He was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the Scabbard and Blade. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers during WWII in both the European and Pacific Theaters. He also served in Germany during the Korean crisis. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserves in 1966 with the rank of Major. Mr. Daiker worked for the United States International Trade Commission, an independent agency of the U.S. government from July 1948 until retiring in June 1979. He was a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association, the Reserve Officers Association of the United States and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of the American Legion Post 245 of State College, the State College Quarterback Club and the Tailback Club.

Mr. Daiker is predeceased by parents Walter W. and Anna S. Kaiser Daiker and wife Harriet M. Lockwood. He is survived by daughters Deborah A. Baughman of Steuben, ME and Lori J. Bolan of Indian Rocks Beach, FL and son Jeffrey C. Daiker of Washington, D.C. He is also survived by grandchildren Ashley and Michael Bolan.

A private memorial service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Penn State Alumni Association, University Park, PA 16802, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
